The innovative approach offers pre-conference discussion boards with leaders in the field of behavior change communication (BCC) and social marketing. The line-up has an wide selection of projects and personalities including a presentation by yours truly about voucher marketing for STI treatment in the Uganda OBA project.
Behavior change communication (BCC) offers an opportunity to improve population health through marketing and educational strategies. Topics are presented in 15 minute pre-recorded talks and range from commodities and services marketing to new media to branding strategies. The Uganda OBA presentation compares two information channels – live community talks and radio – and finds an interesting pattern of increased utilization in months with more hours of radio shows.
